HI EVERYONE!

Last week was a BLAST! Did many many things and trust me, I ate ALOT! Turkey, turkey and turkey. Had tons of red wine too! Thanks to the xmas feasting, I lost my voice. Damn, I feel like the Chipmunk in the show Enchanted...... :( Oh well...... shall not be too greedy anymore.

Received lots of xmas presents!!!! Of which there are lots of chocolates and sweets.... My favourite present has gotta be the bling bling watch from Titus! :) Love it! Will post a pic of it next entry, together with the St James pics tonight! I am feeling very lazy!

Oh ya, I look super horrible now la! Thanks to the eyebrow embroidery. First few days it was VERY VERY dark! Made me look damn fierce. Now the skin is peeling!!!! I cant believe what I put myself thru! Overall it was okaye, I am quite satisfied with the shape and all, saves time for me to draw the eyebrow!!! Now I have eyebrows which last! First I gotta get the peeling skin off my face.... Its too horrible looking now that I can't face the world! :( Event at St James tonite, I dunno how I am gonna get thru the night! Good thing that the clubs usually save on lights' electricity. :)

Sch's starting like soon, in abt another week or so - 7 Jan 08, back to the hectic schedule, no more early nights home, more SIM food and dozing off during lectures. But oh well, I am not complaining! Emo is starting sch soon too! Her last day would be next wed. So sad, gone is another colleague cum galfriend! But we will be sch mate soon! :)

Oh ya, I HATE blood test! Had blood test and health screening ytd organised by HR and of cuz, I went for it. So far so good but anyway, the nurse seemed so inexperienced cuz she was messing around with my veins when she was drawing my blood. Needed another nurse help us out. She told me NOT to look but how can I not???? Especially when my vein feel weird with a needle going around it! The needle was cold! But it wasnt pain at all, at least compared to my braces. Braces pain is a TORTURE, anyone who wore braces would agree with me. I would sit up and cry suddenly in the middle of the night. Bah..... Wad a week of needles!

New year is coming and that signifies the need for new resolutions! Many things happened this year and I am thankful that I got by the year extremely smoothly. Thank God for allowing me to graduate from poly with pretty satisfying results (Aside the fact that I cant get into local uni thanks to the Dragon year JC kids), could have done better in year two but oh well. I guess its fated.

Hmmmm I am also very blessed to have gotten a job pretty fast , right after I graduated and I quite enjoy working and I am also very happy with my bosses and colleagues but I guess I have alot alot alot more to learn, making small mistakes now and then but I always believe that mistakes nurture experiences, without making mistakes, we will not learn. But its good not to repeat them again.

I am also very thankful that I advanced into another level of education and that 2 modules are down! 6 more modules to go! I figured that by next Christmas, my greatest gift would be that "I AM GRADUATING IN THREE MONTHS TIME!" and also that my braces are gonna be OUT by then! :) I look forward to 2008 Xmas! Hee.

I am also glad that I met many new ppl and they showed me that happiness is not measured by the amt of money you have (of cuz money is still impt) but how forgiving is a big grace on its own. I learned to be in a way more sharing, tho not very but I think I made mild improvement. Of cuz, in a way, learned to curb the temper of mine, which can get very bad..... and I learned that things happen for a reason.

Last but not least, I am thankful for my family and friends, its been an fruitful year and I am glad I din waste the year like I did in 2006. :) How abt you?

New year, New resolutions:
- Get at least a Distinction for most modules, HD would be a bonus!
- Gain even more weight! I have gained like 2 or 3 more kg compared to 2006 tho ppl always say I became skinnier somehow. I tot I was skinnier then. Haha.
- Learn more from my job and improve every min.
- Spend less save more.
- Buy the gucci bag! Hehe. Yes very contradicting to the above statement.
- Finish paying my sch fees, I hope I can..... At least I do not need to owe money anymore!
- Get to sit in a Swift at least once in 2008! My favourite car!!!!
- Go to Australia! Pluck cherries and sky diving! :)

F1 is coming next year! I wanna watch it! But I guess the amt spent on the tickets could get me to Europe or something. :( Ok nvm, more things coming my way next year! Share your joy ppl! May you guys have a great year ahead too! Meanwhile enjoy the last few moments of 2007! :)

Christmas Shopping: hafta buy abt 15 prezzies. Broke. :( Hopefully I wun see any temptations along the way. Oh ya, not forgetting, tightening my braces. :(

Sun, 23 Dec:
Gifts wrapping. The bane of my life. I am bad at making things look good. I would pay for someone to wrap the presents! Having a mystery gift exchange in office on Monday and the recepient has to guess who is the secret Santa. Damn, mine would be easy, like I said, the ugliest wrapped gift in PINK would be mine. Would be wearing my PINK dress that day. :) Gotta bake Apple Crumble for pot luck. Hopefully no one would report sick after eating it. Had loads of log cakes and cakes this week thanks to the generous vendors working with us!

Mon, 24 Dec - Christmas Eve!!:
GOOD FOOD! Will have to celebrate it at two department, the PR and Comms department, which is my original homeland and the membership department, my second homeland! :D YEA MORE FOOD!

After that, 3pm made a date with Sharon to do eyebrow embroidery! Yes, thats what I have been excited abt!!!! No not boob job fel & Rachelyn, sorry to disappoint u girls. Haha. Not plastic Surgery Cheng Xun, sorry to disappoint u. :) I am damn lazy everyday to draw my eyebrow so after readin up on some forum, decided to go try it out! Did some research also.

Here's an example:

The day this girl did her eyebrow Embroidery (EE). Looks dark I think, most commented it was DARK the first few days they did it and 60% said it was painful. Bah!

After a few days when the brow heals and the skin peels. NICE LEI! Natural looking!
100% commented that EE is natural looking and will last for like 1 - 2 years. :)

So thats it! I am going for it with Sharon! Hopefully it will turn out good! Which means I can sleep like 10 mins more everyday, no need to worry if the eyebrow goes out of shape and EE is not like tattoo which will grow greenish! At most fade away, then do it again! :D

Hello Hello!!!!

First time I am home so early!!!! YEA! On leave on Friday. But thats cuz I have to do my project. :(

Introducing HANNAH!:

:) She is small, trust me, very small. Her outfit for the day was super cute la!

:O Somehow Hannah likes playing with her mouth. Always making the O shape. Haha.

Oh ya. my aunt is 4 months pregnant, yes again! Colman my baby cousin is almost 2 and not to mention naughty as well now. Hopefully this time it will be a baby girl so I will have one more female cousin!!!! I tot the name Yvaine (inspired by starDust) is nice! Yvaine is also the name of a STAR, as in star in the sky. Either that maybe I will psycho my aunt and uncle to name her Elyshia! I love the name! Chinese name prolly will be Si something since both my female cousins are Si Pei and Si Ling respectively. Maybe Si(1) En(1)? Remembering Grace. Same as Hannah. :)

Anyways, was bored at church last week, so me and Kylie played with the camera! :D

Rain rain go away... come again another day. Recently the weather is rather wet. Hmmm.... I tried to take a picture of the water droplets but seems like I am................... not that so successful. However, the sky was so nice that day! Its almost like a glimpse of sublime! Would be better if it was topped up by a rainbow! :)

Look what I found! :) I only sat on a trishaw once in my entire life, or at least up till this age!!!! I think I will try it again one day. I think its good to relish and live in the past once in awhile. :)

Anyway,

This was the damn fish bone which left me $90 more broke and a scope sticking thru my nostril into the throat. Had to go to SGH one day cuz of the fish bone which was stuck for 24hrs in my throat. I tot swallowing rice down would help to push the bone down but damn, I was so wrong. -_- Nutting could have been worse! If u din already seen or heard such stuff, for your reading pleasure pls - a scope as long as 15cm dangling down the oseophagus mind you! Not only that, she took 45 mind, shoved a long forcep down the throat before she could take it out. Cool right? ;) Oh well, at least I got the bone out, it could be worse.

Ok did some facial using mixed Egg White and Honey just now. Seems good! My pores are now tightened and very smooth..... My mum told me its a passed-on remedy by China ppl. No wonder their skin always so soft and smooth! Ya I know, ppl like fel would go "Eweeeee, ure so gross Wanjun". Like they always say, no pain no gain and in this case, "no gross, no nice". HAHA!

I was curious abt DYI facial masks after learning some home remedies from my mummy, so I went to google out some home remedies on my own, ladies, if ure interested, actually the men can do it too la:

Home Ingredients for Masks

For dry skin:

Mix 1/2 teaspoon honey with the yolk of an egg and 1 tablespoon dried milk powder. Mix into a paste and apply. Remove after 20 minutes with water.

For oily skins:

Mix 1/2 teaspoon honey with egg white and oneteaspoon lemon juice. Add fuller's earth or brewer's yeast powder. Mix into a paste and apply. Remove after 20 minutes with water.

For oily skin and enlarged pores:

Add lemon juice and a littlemilk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.
Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons honey, the juice from 1/2 of a lemon, and 1 small carton plain yogurt. Stir in 1 whipped egg white. Apply to face and let set about 15 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

For oily and combination skins:

Mix 1 tablespoon yoghurt withfuller's earth and apply. Yoghurt itself can be applied on the face. It helps to soften the skin and restores the natural acid mantle.

For blackheads:

Add the white of an egg to oatmeal and apply for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove with water, rubbing gently.

For sunburn:

Add a little lemon juice to milk and apply with cotton wool. Mayonnaise can also be applied by itself. It helps to soothe sunburn.

Milk Face Mask:

This is one if the simplest and cheapest mask. Damp some cotton wool with milk and rub it on the face.

For skin cleansing:

Make a pulp of raw papaya and apply. Papaya has a cleansing action, softening dead skin cells and aiding their removal.

For all skin types:

Grated cucumber can be applied all over theface. The juice is good for the skin around the eyes too. Helps to tighten the skin and has a cooling and refreshing effect.

Another one that is quite good is mixing Goat's milk, Honey and Pearl Powder, thats for those rich tais tais who can afford drinking Pearl Powder like water la. Haha. I think milk and yogurt seems popular in most remedies. Mayb I shall go buy yogurt tml! Oh ya, they say Mayonaise is good for hair - like applying it on your hair once in awhile, it acts as a conditioner! Now u know wad to do when u run out of hair conditioner. :)

Of cuz with all that said, those home remedies may not suit some ppl and may even cause eruptions! Unless ure super confident that ur skin is not sensitive, then go ahead and try it! After all I think natural ingredients are always better than those chemical-ed products. I believe in nature and all natural! :)

Haha, ironically it clashes with my research topic - "Are there any correlation between rising popularity among Korean celebrities in Korean dramas and the boom in plastic sugery?".

Recently, I read an article stating that 60% of the South Koreans HAVE undergone at least one kind of plastic surgery (mainly double eyelids) and in some cases, parents use it as a form of reward for those Korean teenagers who did well in sch. Astonishing. Is there a cultural imperialism involved? Are we beginning to shift our focus on Asian beauties? Our society is still not as open right now. But I guess I am more netural, if it helps to boost your confidence, why not? :) I guess I would be tempted too if its painless and free. Dun you? :) Hmmm shall change my blog skin next week when I am done with my project. RED, Blood RED! Everyone loves RED!

Hi everyone! Been bizzy with sch and work, I think more to sch stuff. Yesterday was the last day of the first sem and YES, another module down. Next module will only commence next year, 7 Jan!!! Asian Media & Global Communication. Sounds like MASINA which I did in poly.

Yea.... even sch's done, we still have to work on our research report due on the 22nd. Initially I tot the module itself would be damn boring but I think our lecturers from RMIT - Ms Lucy Morieson and Terry made it better for us. I like Lucy, I think she's one of the super cutesiest Aussie I have seen and she's only 26!!!! Mr Terry Johal on the other hand is super interesting, he talks abt the most interesting stuff on earth and coincidentally he's from NP MCM too! :D

Oh well, 3 weeks gone in a blink of an eye, I look forward to the next module!! No, I look forward to the next next next module which is Integrated MarComs and that happens to be wad I am doing now! :)

Hohoho, Xmas is coming and I am sourcing out for gifts, I think I will go broke even before the New Year comes. :( Nevertheless, cant wait for church and xmas celebration on the 25th!!! Kylie will be playing his saxaphone. HAHA!!! Finally huh.... :)

Hi EVERYONE!!!!!

MIA for some time already, its time to update again! Many many things happened over the past two weeks and I have tons of pics to say it all. =)

Last last week was Terence Tay's Holy Matrinmony at Victoria Concert Hall. It was awesome! But u know like friends for three years, suddenly u see a good friend getting married, its kinda touching la. Sam and fel cried buckets and lucikly there was tissue la. Haha.

It was so crowded that me and fefe decided to go elsewhere to eat, there wasnt much food left and most importantly, I had my braces tightened that day, so we went to The Soup Spoon!

Rating: MUST TRY, if not you are not a soup lover!
Price: Very affordable for a bowl of piping hot delicious soup! U can even have a takeaway! YUMS!

Headed to town after that with her and as usual, bought lots of stuff! We heart dresses!

After supper, we went to One Degree 15 @ sentosa to explore the place! NICE! Could also see the half way built Sentosa Cove.

I was especially interested in the half-submerged dining concept in the pool! :D

Oh ya, finally bought my camera last Sunday at Audio House. Got a real good deal! Only $399 for a 9MP FujiFilm Cam! F47FD. Not sure if anyone has heard of it before. I even went to check out the prices at Harvey Norman, they were selling it for like $560. Then I tot I really got a damn good deal! :D

Went to office to test out the camera the next day....
